Announcong our guest of honour for current meet
Ashish Kulkarni is Senior Consultant and Software Architect of SAP For Business Ltd., UK (soon to be Scottish Technologies Ltd., UK). Ashish has worked in IT since 1992 and has worked on a vast variety of technologies and languages such as COBOL, Pascal, C, C++, Assembly, SAP-ABAP, FoxPro, Oracle PL/SQL, Java and has recently taken the plunge into learning Ruby on Rails. He is working on multiple projects currently for some of the biggest clients in Scotland. He has been often described as the glue holding a project together because of his array of skills including Web Servers, Application Servers, Application Architecture and Development, Operating Systems, Technologies and Troubleshooting. He is currently working on a Zero cost deployment model for Java Applications using Apache Web Server, JBoss Application Server, Tomcat Servlet Engine, PostgreSQL database and a host of other technologies all running on a Linux Platform. When he is not programming, Ashish is an avid Photographer and has had a camera of one type or another since he was 8.
